Who we are

Upskill Hub provides professional and corporate training in Kenya. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@upskillhube.com.

What we collect

Account details: name, email address, phone number and password (stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form).
Company details for corporate accounts: company name, industry, size, website and the employees you add.
Bookings: the sessions you book and the attendee details you provide (names, emails, phone numbers, dietary requirements, special requests), plus invoices and certificates.
Messages you send through our contact form, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
Profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
Security logs: IP addresses and request details recorded by our servers to protect the service against abuse.

How we use it

To create and manage your account and sign you in.
To process bookings, issue invoices and certificates, and send confirmations and session reminders.
To respond to enquiries you send us.
To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To keep the platform secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Who we share it with

Email delivery: our transactional emails are sent through Resend.
Hosting: our website and database run on servers we rent from a hosting provider.
Your organisation: if your company books training for you, your company's account administrator can see your name, contact details and bookings made through that account.

How we protect it

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, access to personal data is restricted by role, and our database is backed up regularly.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed about the use of your data, to access it, to object to its processing, and to have inaccurate data corrected or data deleted. To make a request, email info@upskillhube.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
